Meet Nikil
Executive Coach | Facilitator | Former Management Consultant
If you watch a basketball game with me, you'll quickly realize that my favorite part of the game isn't a flashy, physics-defying dunk. It's the assist. It's that precise, perfectly timed pass that sets up a teammate to score, creating an opening that may not have existed just a second prior. Every time I watch it happen, it feels like magic in my brain.
To me, executive coaching is the professional equivalent of that assist. A great point guard doesn't stand on the sidelines, nor do they try to take over the game. They are right there on the floor with you, reading the court, creating the space, and setting up the play so you can hit your stride. I love working as a facilitator for my clients, helping them clear the path and activate their own inner wisdom so they can score the basket, however they choose to define it.
The Foundation
My path to coaching was shaped by a lifelong curiosity about both systemic frameworks and human behavior. I graduated as a Flinn Scholar from Arizona State University with Bachelor's Degrees in both Economics and Computer Science. From there, I spent eleven years at McKinsey and Company, advising global organizations on business strategies and coaching high-performing teams. While navigating these high-stakes environments, I saw firsthand the heavy weight leaders carry, and how quickly constant pressure can turn into stagnation or burnout.
Having been on both sides of the table myself as a client, I know just how life-changing the right coaching partnership can be. I wanted to anchor my practical experience in rigorous, evidence-based methodology, and I earned my formal coaching certification from Columbia University. Today, I am an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) candidate with over 500 dedicated coaching hours under my belt. To deepen my understanding of personality dynamics and self-awareness, I have also completed the advanced Integrative Enneagram (iEQ9) training and I am currently finalizing my certification as an Enneagram practitioner.
A Holistic Approach
I don't believe in band-aid solutions or rigid checklists. I coach the whole person. I bring deep empathy and thoughtful inquiry to help leaders navigate their growth journeys with radical authenticity. Backed by my South Asian heritage, I am also uniquely equipped to partner with leaders navigating complex cultural, generational, and institutional dynamics, helping them find clean alignment between who they are and how they lead.
In addition to my coaching practice, I explore these cultural currents on a broader scale as the co-host of the Chai Across Generations podcast, a show dedicated to building meaningful understanding between generations and across cultures.
Beyond the Desk
Based in Los Angeles, California, I strive to practice the same mindful balance I cultivate with my clients. You can usually find me spending quality time with my family, diving into a good book, or creating content for the podcast. To stay active and find my own flow state, I regularly head outside to play basketball, tennis, and ultimate frisbee, always chasing that next perfect assist.
